Big Sea Fans Community

by Lure on July 30, 2010

I’ve created a forum so that all Big Sea Games fans can keep in touch after the bigseagames.com site shuts down. Right now we’re talking about new places to play games, but hopefully in the future the Big Sea Fans Community will grow into a place we can talk about all kinds of things.

Please take a moment and check it out, create an account and make a post or two. Introduce yourself or help us discuss different web sites similar to Big Sea Games where we can find a new home!

Thanks, and see you there!

BigSeaFans.com for FB Treasure Quest Users

by Lure on April 22, 2010

Treasure Quest on Facebook, betaHi Facebook Treasure Quest fans!

I’m sure you’re wondering what this site is all about, since you got here via Facebook and/or a web search for one of the games in Treasure Quest on Facebook. Well, this site is a Big Sea Games fan site, full of information on all of the games at BigSeaGames.com, including seven of the games currently available on Treasure Quest at Facebook.

Both Big Sea Games and Treasure Quest are run by an awesome company called Big Fish Games; they also sell great casual download games, check them out if you get a chance. Big Sea Games is a casual game portal in its development/beta phase. It’s not currently open to the general public, and they are not currently accepting applications to their waiting list. Luckily for you, you can at least play seven of the Big Sea Games titles on Treasure Quest at Facebook.

There are eight games available to you on Treasure Quest, seven of which were originally (and still are) found at Big Sea Games. The exception is Daily Detective, which is compiled from scenes originally found in Hidden Object games produced by Big Fish Games. By popular demand, we are keeping an archive of the Daily Detective answers, updated every morning.

We’ve spent a lot of time collecting and providing hints and tips for a lot of the games, some pages on this site that might help you are listed below.

L.O.B.E.
- Ciphrase Answers
- How to Solve Logic Line (outdated, but still may help you)
- L.O.B.E. ranks*

Fairway Solitaire
- Fairway Solitaire ranks*

Unwell Mel
- Unwell Mel ranks*

Riddle O’Day
- Riddles & Answers, by month
- List of Creatures (with pictures)
- Riddle O’Day ranks*

Plunder
- Hints & tips for Beginners (in comments)
- Plunder ranks*

Thunderbolt 21
- Thunderbolt 21 ranks*

Snow Globe
- Snow Globe ranks*

*Ignore the stuff on the ranks pages about ‘awards’, that’s a feature only available on Big Sea Games…for now. The links to “How to Play” aren’t available to the general public yet, so if you have any questions on how to play a particular game, use our search box on the right sidebar or just ask.

In the right sidebar of this site is a Categories dropdown — use that to find historical information about each of the games. There’s also a search box if you are looking for something in particular.

And don’t forget to Like/Follow us on Facebook!

Enjoy, and don’t hesitate to leave a comment to introduce yourself or ask any questions you may have. Welcome aboard!

Big Sea Games Rank Calculator

by Lure on October 27, 2009

Without further ado (and with so many heartfelt thanks to Pidgeot for his scripting handiwork), here is a Big Sea Games rank calculator! With this nifty little tool, you can find out exactly how many tokens you need to achieve certain ranks (and in some games, awards) in your favorite Big Sea Games.

Open the Big Sea Games Rank Calculator!

*It’ll open in a pop-up window, so you may need to disable your pop-up blocker for this web site. We promise, we won’t spam you with pop-up ads, so you’re safe.

The form will ask you to choose a game, then enter the amount of tokens you’ve earned in the game so far. You can find this information in the Token Tracker of the main Game Info panel at the bottom of your game screen. You’ll want to enter the amount of tokens listed under “This Game” It looks like this:

Big Sea Games Token Tracker: This Game

Then, choose the rank you’re interested in earning and the calculator will show you how many tokens you need to earn that rank. Voila!

Welcome to BigSeaFans.com!

by Lure on October 4, 2009

Hi everyone! We’ve changed our name from Big Fish Gamer to Big Sea Fans. (We’ve also moved to a faster and more stable server, hooray for that!)

The purpose of this was twofold: with the change from the Big Fish Games Community to Big Sea Games it only seemed appropriate, plus I wanted to make the focus less about me and more about all of us fans. Since the migration, a ton of folks have stepped up to help with the news, rumors, and information and a ton of you loyal visitors leave thoughtful and insightful comments on a lot of different posts — you are what makes the site fantastic, and I wanted to call attention to that. (I’d specifically like to thank b3achy for writing a few guest posts about Dive! Deeper a few weeks ago, and Pidgeot always being there to ferret out detailed information for us.) It’s not just me behind the scenes here — I may be the one putting the stuff online, but it’s the whole community of fans like you who step up to help me out!

I want you to always feel welcome here to share your thoughts and opinions, rumors and information, or whatever is on your mind. If you’re not comfortable leaving a comment or have a scoop or idea that you’d like published as an individual post, I’ve added a “contact us” link to the bottom of every page on this site. Feel free to use it.

For as long as it needs to, bigfishgamer.com will redirect to this domain, so any pre-existing links to this site will still work in the future. With that said, I recommend you bookmark bigseafans.com and from this point forward just tell your friends about the great things you find at bigseafans.com!

So welcome to the “new” site and enjoy!
