Treasure Quest to Add Oz Video Poker

by Lure on July 8, 2010

Treasure Quest is currently testing Oz Video Poker for an upcoming release. If you’re interested in getting a sneak peek, you can take a look right now — but it’ll cost you. For a one-time fee of 5,000 gold, you’ll have full access to the game on Treasure Quest on Facebook before everyone else.

The game should be released to the general public eventually, but if you’ve got a hankering for some new content now just head on over to Treasure Quest on Facebook to get a preview. There’s a prominent link/icon to it on the Treasure Quest app — you can’t miss it.

Is 5,000 gold too rich for your blood? If there’s something you want to know, go ahead and leave a comment and ask your question. I’ll bite the bullet and fork over the 5k and give you the answers you seek. :)

Lure, is there any difference between this version and the one on the Big Sea site? Thanks for doing this for us! I am saving my coins for the treasure hunter gear thats coming soon.

Karen A: as far as I can tell, the game is exactly the same right down to the watercolor-ish graphics the game has had for more than five(?) years. Even the payouts are the same.

The only difference I’ve found is that you earn a gold spin half way between each chapter. It’s been quite awhile since I played Oz but I think it was a jackpot spin in the Big Sea version.

I would love to play this on FB, I am addicted to it on BS, but unfortunately TQ now has me addicted to Fairway and I am now constantly broke, lol. I started out yesterday with 54 coins and have been working yesterday and today on trying to gain enough to play Oz (up to 2164), at this rate I may be in my grave or blind from staring at the computer screen before I get enough, or it will be Aug. 4 before I know it, lol. I would buy some coins, but my furbabies (yorkshire terrier) surgery comes first as far as expenditures go for now. Enjoy everyone! Hope to be playing soon, maybe I will hit a big daily chest!

Man i would just love so much to be able to play it if i knew i was going to have to pay that much to play one of my games i wouldnt of used it all on the daily detective. I would of had plenty of money… Why so do we have to pay so much or even at all? I only have 1300 coins and it took all day almost of 2 days to get that.

Jennifer: the cost is for a preview of the game. If you can’t swing the 5k or don’t want to, the game will be available to the general public in a few weeks.

Will the points we earn on the facebook game be transferred over to here?

8 Lure (bigfishgamer_com) July 11, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Stephanie: transferred to Big Sea Games? No. :( Here’s a link to my introductory article that explains:

http://www.bigseafans.com/2010/04/20/some-big-sea-games-available-on-facebook/

“It seems that there is no way to link your Big Sea account with your Facebook account, so progress made at one site will not reflect on the other. Bummer.”

Does anyone know what the Gold Spins/XP are worth? Are they along the lines of Suits me Yukon or Riddle O’Day (or somewhere in between)?

10 Lure (bigfishgamer_com) July 11, 2010 at 4:53 pm

Lyra: the gold spin half way between each chapter is worth 4 to 400 gold without modifiers and 4 experience.

I actually have a list here that I’ve been keeping that describes how to get gold spins in every game on TQ as well as how much gold and xp they are worth. I will get it posted soon, with this new info. :)

are thre any other possible cheats to TQ other than bigseafans.com?

13 Lure (bigfishgamer_com) July 13, 2010 at 4:38 pm

Stephen: heh, I’m not sure I’d call these ‘cheats’. I’d say ‘hints’ or ‘tips’ or ‘pro techniques’ instead! :) But no, as far as I know this is as good as it gets!

If you or anyone else finds or knows of other ‘pro techniques’ for doing well in Treasure Quest games, by all means let me know. :)

Lure:

I tried to join the website but it wont let me it says its wait list is full… how do I join if the list is full… I love TQ on facebook and would like to see if the website offers more that it does on FB… Can you help me?

Let me know
Michelle

Michelle: the short answer is… you can’t join yet. If you submitted a request to join BSG, then all you can do is wait until they open the site up to more players. :(

Honestly I don’t know why they’re still messing around with the wait list. The site’s numbers are dwindling by the day and it could really use some fresh faces. A while back I’d asked if I could get some passes to the site, and was told there was a possibility down the road that I could, and then the site was more or less abadoned.

The web site does offer more than Treasure Quest. There are awards (which are in-game achievements you can earn by completing different tasks in each game) and chat and friends lists and the whole shebang. Treasure Quest has Daily Detective, but Big Sea Games has a lot more games.

With that said, the parent company (Big Fish Games) has stated they’re not making any additions or changes to the site, so we’re stuck with it as it is — bugs and all — with no promise of any new games. If you want to get a glimpse while you wait, there’s a ranks & awards tab at the top of the site and a ton of links on the right sidebar. :)

I like Oz VP and am 2 ranks away from a Wizard 1 on BSea…I worked hard and long, but also had a good time on the way advancing in this game. I think it’s a shame to have to start all over on TQ…I will probably go there, but this thought will be always in my mind. My old rank and my racked up tokens that will be lost come 9-1…

Another point, I will miss BFSlots as well. BFSlots is my fav, racked up most of my tokens on it, Oz 2nd, and I don’t see BFSlots on TQ at all. A huge disappointment.

I want to share what another player said as I find it very amusing. He said we should all on the site of BigSeaGames combine all our earned tokens and buy BSeaGames from BFGames… Hey, Lure, do you think the big boys would go for it. We have billions. lollollol……

Well, I own Fairway and didn’t really play other games too often. But I will miss my 2 favorites…..Thank you all for the years of fun and rooms to hang in with nice people……….I feel displaced in a way…

Hi. I’m a long time player on bigsea and have started playing OZ on fb, treasurequest. I want to know why my rank in the game itself is different from the bigsea site rank. i’ve noticed that the rank goes back and forth between auntem and uncle henry thus far. it shows i’m an uncle henry28, then jumps next time i log on to an auntem 15. weird. i’m guess i’m wondering if the ranks will advance as in OZ on BSG. I’m a Wizard 4. Will I become a WIZ again???? or should i just focus on the treasure quest ranks?????? Is this a glitch or is what?? thanks. linda i’m linda lafrance on fb and frenchfry1955 on pogo woot……………
