LouPupper: it’s a possibility, but let’s hope not. :) I’d like to think they’ve figured out most of the stability issues with the site and because there are only a limited number of people with access to the site I can’t imagine we’d bring everything to a crashing halt. I hope.

Also, just a reminder to always read the date on the posts — Big Fish Slots is actually coming THIS week now… Wednesday. :)

Hi Lure: Am anxiously awaiting the slots next week, along with several of me buds, and I really don’t want to be all “gloom and doom” here, but do you think when the Slots is released, the influx of all those people into the game may cause a crash to the site?

Last few days of waiting…(drumming fingers)…trying to be patient…(whistling)…maybe I should go get all my housework done since come the release, I’ll likely be playing this game for hours and hours…not that I’m OCD or anything ;)

Well, they have said all along by the end of the month…and Wednesday IS the last day of the month ;)

But I like the way you think…plan for the worst, but hope for the best…makes it a lot easier to manage expectations that way :)

b3achy: aha, you’re right — I was looking at the wrong day on the calendar. I’ve been screwing up dates all over the place lately… :) I think we should all expect a late ~~Friday~~ Wednesday release that way we’re pleasantly surprised if it’s anything different. (This is mentality I’ve learned from years of following Pogo, they’re a little better now at not promising anything at all, but they would promise a release “coming this month” and it comes out on the last possible day of the month at the last possible minute of their work day.)

Um Lure, my friend, not to overstep my bounds, but Dive was actually released on 2 Sept (around 1 or 1:30pm BSG/Pacific time) – I had a personal forum post that day after playing the game. Just checked the calendar, it was a Wednesday. (Which was a trend we noticed during the initial beta testing, they tended to launch the games on Wednesdays.)

But have to admit, I hope they release this one earlier, and Tuesday would be a welcome release day for me. I think it would also give them an extra day to work out any kinks before the weekend. Fingers are crossed that it will be Tuesday… ;)

I never understood all the fuss about this game. I tried it once maybe twice but I didn’t like the intermission and waiting for others to take their turn. Having said that I’ll probably give it a whirl anyway and look forward to the tips you provide.

Margaret: not a clue. If it’s any indication (and it’s probably only grasping at straws to make this connection here, but) Dive was released on a ~~Tuesday~~ Wednesday.
