The transition from Big Fish Games’ Game Community to Big Sea Games has been rough and stormy seas for a lot of people, but just when you thought things were smooth sailing again, a storm has hit the halls of Team Bingo. Tonight, MOD_Hope entered Team Bingo’s Hall 1 Room I during their Sunday night tournament and told the Let’s Bingo League that they could not hold tournaments in that room until more Halls and Rooms have been added to the site. Hope didn’t give many details — or even a reason why notice was being given on a Sunday evening — but she did say she’d get in touch with the League admins in about a week with more information. So far, not one of the nine other leagues that played on Big Fish Games’ Game Community has been notified of this suspension, though the news of what happened had spread across the community in just a few hours.
While it’s understandable that the Big Sea moderators would be concerned of room overcrowding in this beta period and the issue of perhaps not enough rooms to go around, there are fifteen rooms total and only ten leagues that had no conflict choosing a room of their own (at least as far as I know). Some people are speculating that the reason their tournaments have been suspended is because someone complained about the tournament activity going on while they were playing. (For what it’s worth, the Let’s Bingo League prides themselves on being good examples for all players and always welcoming non-league players into the room as they are hosting a tournament there.)
One of the Let’s Bingo League admins, Aggie, has written an email to Big Sea Games to convince them to reverse their decision to suspend tournaments temporarily, you can read more at the Let’s Bingo League web site.

One of the only reasons I play bingo in Big Fish (Sea) games is because of the tournaments in the league. I think Big Sea has bigger fish to feed – or should have and should concentrate on solving those issues before suspending any tournament plays.
Being the rebel that I am, I broke down and am hosting a tournament right now. So far so good, will keep you posted!

I don’t understand why BigSea wants to shut our league down????
I am a member of Letsbingo and I play there every single day. This is one of the best leagues a place that welcomes all players and has helped many players adjust to the new site. We have never told anyone they could not play in our room. Why was it just our league that was told to suspend tournaments???
If this is the way the new and so called improved BigSea games are going to run their business then I guess I will not be playing there again.
Letsbingo League is my family and my place to go.

I was in the Team Bingo room when Mod-Hope told the league they had to suspend their games and it was disastrous. She should have handled that so much better instead of going into the room. She didn’t go into other halls and tell them to suspend, so why just this one? I am not a bingo league player, but I go in their rooms all the time and get a kick out of their games and rules. Big Sea is the one who took away the room for us ALL to play team bingo in comfort and that is a shame. Can’t believe that you didn’t do a “head count” of the popular game to accommodate us better. I think “whats good for the goose is good for the gander” and tot suspend one league and not the others was terribly wrong of Mod-Hope. She knew the administrator and could have handled it much better than she did. I hope you can get it squared away fairly for all.
Team Bingo leaguers are being handled poorly. Cancel one league and you should cancel all of them.
Hi gamer. I just want to thank you for the support you have given us tonight on Team Bingo letsbingo league. I am a member of that league & it is an understatement when I say we were all shocked when MOD_HOPE came in with the news. Aggie is a wonderful TD as are Beachy & Flea just to mention a few. We are all friendly to everyone that comes in the room. We have a lot of fun. But, the most important thing about our league is that we are all friends & we support each other in our problems rather they be family related or health related or whatever. A lot of us play bingo to get our minds off of our problems. This is the place to do it. Our league has over 1,000 members. So, as you can see, we are very strong. We are hoping that with enough e-mails to BigSea we will get our room back. For a lot of us this is all we have. Thanks again for your support.

I was on the site, and in the room when the incident happened, and I was totally caught off guard, as was everyone else. I am not familiar with the ins and outs of using sites to play with others in a formed team, but the way that this situation was handled just didn’t seem right.
If the site had issues that it needed to handle with leagues that play in their rooms, wouldn’t you think that they would have discussed it privately with the league administrator, instead of going into public chat and making a public display of unprofessionalism. This was something that I don’t think the rest of the room should have been exposed to.
I have the chat function shut off when I play bingo. I have enough trouble keeping up with the numbers being called. So I am clueless as far as any game inside a game.
I don’t understand why anyone would complain about the tourneys. First off, the people that play in the tournaments would be playing anyway, so it should not be an issue of “room crowding”. Second of all, if the “chat” from the tourneys is annoying anyone, they have the option to mute the users. The tournament leagues have been a big contributor to the Big Fish site, and they should not be penalized for continuing doing what they have been doing.

Hi all, I am admin with Weluvbingo league, and we are not playing as of now because our room is not even up yet! However, I do believe that there are no tourneys being hosted on bigsea games as of now, but as you all are….am clueless. I believe that all the leagues on bigfish were all very friendly and we have all made very good friends through the leagues along with players that are not part of the leagues. I have “visited” other leagues rooms and have always been welcome, just as ~all~ players are welcome to the room we had used.
We have been assured that our beloved bingo game will be back up sooner or later, and also I *believe* they are working to accomodate our beloved leagues as well. Try to have patience, hope and pray this gets handled soon and we all can get back to our beloved tourneys and bingo!

No there were tournaments being hosted all the time in our room and in others. Since the Lets Bingo league was large enough we had tournaments frequently. Hopefully Big Sea listens so they don’t alienate more people than they already have.
omg how can bigsea say 1 league cant host but allow the others to continue, if one gets stopped they all should untill they sort rooms out so all leagues can host, seems to me something funnys going on to have letsbingo be told cant hold tourneys and the other 9 leagues can carry on hosting
why pick on just one league? 10 leagues 15 rooms ummmm they need to do there maths again as theres room for all leagues

Just an update: I was told that there was a league this morning in Hall 2 Room B that has said their tournament was canceled too. I don’t know if this means it was canceled by Big Sea moderators or if it was canceled due to the spreading news that tournaments are being suspended.
I am a member of the Bingo for Winners League and have also played on Lets Bingo League. All of the Leagues on Cases Ladder have always been friendly, inviting and welcoming to all Bingo players whether they we league members or not. I cant believe that Big Sea did not realize that the 3 most popular games on the Big Fish site were: Unwell Mel, Big Fish Slots and Team Bingo. This morning I went to BigSea and there are games such as Mush with 20 rooms and a total of 22 players. Oz Poker with 25 roo,s and 73 players. Suits Me Free Cell with 36 rooms and 26 players. Now if these less popular games can have so many rooms, why would BigSea have so few Bingo rooms for one of the most popular games. Come BigSea, get it together and give all your players an even break
I read in a Big Sea forum that they are working this week to come up with a time frame for more Bingo rooms. I agree with Donna come on Big Fish/Big Sea. Someone fell asleep on the job not to realize that Bingo is more popular than this.
I have been part of bigfishgames for many years, and 4 years ago I finally found a game I like and a family, yes bigsea, we r families in here and i find u r tearing us apart, please resolve this issue for us, please give us our halls bk, this should of been researched better.
I was Stunned this Morning when I logged on to The lets Bingo site to see if any tournament were playing and to see a note from our Head tourney Director that all tourneys were suspended! Playing bingo in a tourney and with a twist has been fun and inviting for me. Also a way to make friends and see friends on a daily basis. If this should stop I dont’know what I would do. …
According to Let’s Bingo site, Big Sea is hoping to have this resolved by the end of the week. Each head Admin must contact them to request a room for tournaments. You would have thought they would have taken care of this before the move. It’s not like the tournaments are a new thing. Pay attention Big Fish/Big Sea. We only have so much patience to give you before people go somewhere else to play.
all i have to say is that as of today i will be canceling my subscription to bigsea.. i will not give my hard earn money to a site that cant get it together.. i hope others will follow me in this and then maybe thay will get the point when they have no more money coming in….cchrst1953
chris: I’m not sure what kind of subscription you think you’ve got, but as far as I know the old Game Community subscriptions were paid yearly in advance and there’s no way to cancel for a refund, or re-subscribe if your membership is running out. From what I gather, they’re doing away with memberships, as BSG will be free for everyone all the time. If you’re talking about your Big Fish Games Game Club subscription for $6.99/month, that’s an entirely different thing (though I suppose Big Fish Games is now considered Big Sea Games’ parent company and Big Sea Games employees are for all intents and purposes Big Fish Games employees) and canceling won’t make a dent in their huge subscriber numbers.
I am the HA of Bingo Buds and we’ve been attempting to host in 3G since last week. It’s been difficult with the room soo busy. A message was posted in the room during a tourney this morning to suspend all tourneys until further notice and HAs to contact for details. Here’s hoping they get more rooms added quickly or they’re gonna lose a lot of members and, by extension, revenue through the paid memberships that these players will not be renewing.
I really don’t understand the poor planning here. They’ve taken a game that regularly had more than 2000 players and only have the capacity for 750. Things that make you go hmmmmm?!
I don’t understand the poor planning either. I understand that this is a beta but what were the doing for the last few months. I thought that was beta testing to get all the lumps, bugs, and bumps out so we would have a better site to go to. Why wasn’t somone paying attention to how many people were playing the respective games and planning accordingly.
MOD_HOPE responded to Aggie and basically, to paraphrase. said too bad. It doesn’t matter because she is not changing her mind. So we are penalized for Big Sea screwing up and not giving us enough rooms to go into. Thanks alot Big Sea for not paying attention to us.
It’s funny. Just because we can’t have tourneys it doesn’t mean we are not in the room playing and chatting. Nothing has changed except there is more chat because we don’t have to concentrate for the tourney.

SO BASICALLY, SHE’S IN CONTROL AND ISN’T CHANGING HER POSITION. WE ARE STILL IN THE ROOM AND DOING TRIVIA FOR OUR MEMBERS, 10 BUX PER CORRECT ANSWER. HAVING FUN BUT NOT HOSTING A TOURNAMENT.
BLUEHEAVEN LEAGUE IN HALL 1, TEAM G, HAS BEEN HOSTING TOURNAMENTS ALL DAY……..DO NOT KNOW IF THEY HAVE EVER BEEN TOLD NOT TO OR NOT. THAT’S THEIR BUSINESS, NOT MINE.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO SAY HOW HUMBLED I AM BY THE SUPPORT SHOWN TO LETSBINGO LEAGUE BY SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE LAST 24 HOURS. COUNTLESS, COUNTLESS HOURS HAVE GONE INTO GROWING THIS LEAGUE, AND IT IS GRATIFYING TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE APPRECIATE US!
ALL leagues have been shut down by Big Sea not just one!
No One is allowed to run tourneys in any of the halls because of the poor planning by Big Sea not accomodating all of its players and only catering to the few.
This really sucks for all of us that play in leagues and is not at all fair!!!!!!
aggie does MOD_HOPE mean that they will allocate us a room once there sorted but could be a diff room? wish they had look into this b4 they took ova the site to many leagues put out now and its not fair on the players that come in to enjoy tourneys how could they not know leagues where using there rooms they have been running for years and they take ova site not knowing, tells me they didn’t check anything even the popular games that r missing or have hardly any rooms
All leagues had to “request” a room. We may or may not get the rooms we had before. It is inconceivable to me that they didn’t know where league’s were playing since the change…..it took me less than 10 minutes to research it and report it to them lol. Poor planning? Yes, I would definitely call it that. Oh, and MOD_HOPE finally got in the Blueheaven room about 9 last night and made her announcement, so they have suspended tournaments as well. No clue why it took her so long to break the sad news to them. I would be advising a mass boycott of the site if not for the fact that if the leagues leave, she gets what she wants…..more access to team bingo for all the people who got screwed when the games they normally play were not included in the initial change. We have stayed in our room and are planning “non-tournament” events each night……last night we did trivia, tonight name that tune, etc. Gifting 10 bux for correct answers. We had as many league members in the room as we always do and gifted bux to 19 people for trivia last night, and signed up 2 new members just because they wanted to join in the trivia! i just dont understand why any one would want to come in and bust up a strong frienship that letbingo has like bigsea did.must be they dont want us to be a familey and dont want us to have fun like we been doing for yrs .its too sad
I just want to say, I as a fairly new member to LETSBINGO, but not to leagues find LETSBINGO one of the most friendliest and enjoyable leagues I have had the opportunity to play on.
Aggie and all the tds have their work cut out for them. This is for one reason only. To make friends from all over, laugh, cry, vent etc. I know they dont collect a paycheck for their time and endless dedication to their members.
So please, let us (LETSBINGO) have our tourneys once again. I am looking foward to getting back to normal, and I think I speak for all our TDs and HA and members.
Well, let’s be reasonable here. Nobody’s taking away leagues or tournaments, they’re just asking you put the tournaments on hold until more rooms can be added (and I’ve heard they’ve been requested, so it’s only a matter of time). Yes, however, this situation was handled poorly and yes they should have had the foresight to have enough rooms beforehand to accommodate leagues. It’s in the past and nothing can be done to change the way it was handled — let’s just be thankful that Big Sea is going to allow the tournaments just like BFG did, once the new rooms are released. And in the meantime, I applaud the league admins who are finding creative ways to keep your members otherwise entertained.
well what can I say that hasn’t already been said…I found and joined the letsbingo league 2 years ago and could not believe how polite..friendly, patient and helpful all the td’s and admin were along with all their players.

I was not in the room when they were told to cease all tournaments and was shocked to hear the way it was done….talk about a disrespectful way of doing it mod….and you wonder why you were met with such comments?? Wake up and smell the roses…I hope this issue is resolved quickly
Lure, you are right……this too shall pass, and we just have to wait it out. I’m done with being mad about it, and hope others are as well. Life is too short to sweat the stuff we can’t do anything about!
