Like L.O.B.E., the updated Riddle O’Day (due out this summer) has been outfitted with 12 awards you can earn by playing the game. They are as follows:

Catch the Unicorn

Catch at least 10 different creatures
Glow-in-the-Dark
Catch 500 creatures that glow

Catch the same two creatures back to back 150 times
7 in a Row
Solve the riddle seven days in a row
Look for these awards to be implemented with the new community site in July or August.

The gnutty for gnomes prize is eerily similar to my page and posts with gnome bowling . . . ;) But, I like it!

how does one get on the list for BigFish newsletters?
clogger: I’ve been asking that question for a while, and truthfully I don’t know. I thought it was sent to all BF account holders, paid or not. However, I had to ask a BF representative to get me on the newsletter, maybe you could request it through customer support?
What brought on this question? I don’t even think these awards were mentioned in any newsletters and now that I think about it, there hasn’t been a game community newsletter in a really long time (they’ve all been for beta participants, addressing bugs and fixes and whatnot).
These rewards will make it fun to play Riddle again, especially when combined with the new creatures, I think. I’ll probably stick around longer each day to get them. Thanks for the latest info and pictures Lure!
Was just reading the new awards that are coming in….will be nice to see, but in this will our forests be busier? or just as slow with things coming out? if it remains as a dead forest that it is most days, it will take forever to get any badges…I’ve been playing this game since it came out, I’ve had the unicorn once, boggarts I may get one every couple of weeks and sometimes I can sit for 5 to 10 minutes without any movement in my forest. I don’t stay in there for hours on end as I would be bored senseless…so I do my riddle, wait a bit and then leave…hopefully with these changes the forest livens up a bit….

Remeber when lure said, it would be in july or august when the transition occurs? My guess is August. It still sometimes thinks that you are playing a game and trying to open another. If this happens, beta testers, restart your machine. Lure and I wil keep you up to date. Bye for now!

oh noooooooooooo i was so looking forward to july lol as the Big Date as i am on holidays , sighssssssssss oh well if i have to wait till August then i have to wait but not happy jan lol
Hi i would like to know if anybody know around wich date we are suppose to be able to get the new site because july&august its like hard to know whene and still can be a 2months more to wait to get it.

tina1976: I could tell you August 31 (which would be a total stab in the dark) and that way you’d be thrilled if it came early, and satisfied if it came on time. :) Truth is, we just don’t know. I’m not even sure Big Fish knows at this point — there are a few games that still haven’t been ported to the new site (like BF Slots, which I’ve always assumed they’ll be keeping), but the games that are there have really shaped up nicely.

When this game first came out I loved it. I still play it but only long enough to answer the riddle and get my tokens. It has become boringly slow and all you ever get are the fairies and wisps with a gnome tossed in every now and then. I go for months and not see the queen, a boggart and especially not the unicorn. I see others getting them pretty regularly.
So how can they think that we can gather enough in a timely manner to warrant getting those awards?
I like the concept but I know that for me attaining enough of anything will be only in my wildest dreams.
All in all I also like this site a lot. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into it and thanks for keeping it current.
i am and have always thought it would be Christmas – learning patience the hard way lol
I love the idea of this too, but I also do only get wips and fairies, the other ones are so rare, I see a lot more people getting the bigger ones more often than I do, and I’ve never gotten a unicorn. Also, the tokens I’ve only ever got a lil over 30,000 once or twice.. and other people seemed to get over 30,000 quite often enough..

Any idea if those awards will be given based on what a player has already acheived in the games? Like in L.O.B.E I have alredy beaten the mouse untrap numerous times on genious, will I have awards for these when the site converts to the new designs or do I have to start to earn them all over again? Again just thinking you may have an idea. thanks.

Thank you for having a answer to everyones questions. Some sites just say they don’t know. I think your quess as to new games starting date Aug, 31 is a “good answer”. I know I will return to this site again.

Marilynne: thanks. Interestingly enough, that was a puzzle used in January!
I wonder if they’re mixing things up now… probably not worth investigating until the new site comes out! If they are mixing up the puzzles , I’ll surely hear about it! (I usually get a TON of emails and blog comments if there’s anything new, which is awesome!)
