Community Redesign: Between July and August

by Lure on May 22, 2009

Hooray! Big Fish has given us a timeframe for the upcoming changes to the game community: between July and August!

Exciting changes are coming to the game community! We continue to fine-tune these updates and currently are on schedule to make them available to the public between July and August. While we understand that this is still several months away, the Game Community development team wants to deliver on the best game play experience possible. Keep checking this news page for more information! We do appreciate your patience and excitement during this time.

The changes that will be taking place include a revamp of the whole game community web site (changes seen here and here) including (but not limited to) the following games:

Deuces Wilder
Suits Me TriPeaks and Suits Me Yukon
Thunderbolt 21
Shape Shifter
Riddle O’Day and some new creatures
Plunder
Suits Me Canfield and Suits Me Solitaire
Farm 52
Suits Me Pyramid
Suits Me Free Cell (added 6/5)
Badda Bingo (added 6/5)

This is particularly good news to the fans who’ve been visiting this site since (gasp) mid-December to hear about the upcoming changes! Finally, we have a timeframe!

Yippee! It seems so much more real now that there is a time announced to see the changes up and running. It has been a long wait, but I am sure it will be worth it. I can hardly wait! Thanks for letting us know Lure!

See Lure, I told you it wouldn’t be more that 6-8 weeks!

peavyfan: You were right. :) There’s a glitch in my brain somewhere that can’t translate July into being just a few weeks away. It’s something about the heat of summer not having kicked in and my brain still being stuck in spring fever. :) I still stand by my “months”, since we’re still in May. :P

A BIG “THANK YOU” is in order Lure,I’m sure you’ve taken quite alot of harassment in recent weeks to find out when BF is releasing the new game’s and site. I know that I have been guilty of asking probably more than I should have, but I wanted to thank you for giving us what info you could, when you could. I”m positive the new site will be well worth the wait !! Thanks again,

dee: I’m pretty sure that’s just in anticipation of the changes that will be coming. I’m not sure how they’ll work it out, but they’ll find a way to support the new site in another way without ads. I’ll dig around and see if I can figure anything out.

do you know what happens to the people who have paid subscriptions for the year. do they carry over/? do we need to pay any more to take out the ads???? and do the tokens we have won already carry over to the new site??? not that i can spend my tokens on anything lol

jackdragon: I think I know the answer to this, but I’m trying to get an *official* answer for you. :) Hang tight a little longer and I’ll get back to you with anything I find.

jackdragon (and others interested): I talked with draddog today and here’s what I have learned.

The subscriptions will carry over when the new site is launched. If I recall correctly, game community accounts are automatically renewed at the end of your term, so everything about the way the renewals work on the old site will be the same as on the new site.

Big Fish has not yet nailed down exactly what the subscriber benefits will be, but they should publicly release that information pretty soon. I’ll put together a post about it once they’ve started spreading the news.

And yes, the tokens you’ve won on the game community site will carry over. If you earned tokens on the beta site, those do not.

thanks lure , you are most helpful and quick to respond – well done and a big gold star to you. yes my friend has been invited to the beta site and she said her tokens didnt carry over when she went to the regular big fish site.
