Farm 51 is an addictive strategy game. It may seem daunting at first, but here are a few tips to get you started. If you have tips of your own, leave them as a comment on this post or send us an email.

Farm 51 For Beginners
First and foremost, read the How to Play page. There is a detailed Farm 51 walkthrough available from Big Fish that guides you step-by-step through setting up your farm.
Grow wheat and sugarcane. They are good to have on stock, but they take a long time to grow. During your down time, you can create sugar and flour.
If you need a little extra cash, you can turn 3 milk ($21) into butter which sells for $22. It’s a small profit margin, but you’ve got to start somewhere. There are other recipes that yield a profit just from cooking the cheaper items.
Save up for greenhouses. You will be able to grow any crop at any time of the year without the temperatures affecting your produce. However, apples and strawberries will grow fine through the winter.
Don’t buy a horse; save your cash for more tractors.
Do the newspaper ads, but make more than they ask for and store them in your silos. It’s good to have some extra supplies on hand.
Your first goals should be to turn a profit, farm common items, and work towards building a crop circle. Then, you’ll be able to communicate with the Strange Visitor, who will reward you with rocket parts, alien knowledge, and other goodies.
If you need a short break, hitting the spacebar will pause the game for you.

Hi I think bigfish should add some new crops to grow like coffee beans, watermelon, pumpkin…ect. and with the new crops of course would come new reciepts just to add alittle more varity to the game excepiality for those of us who have started over once we have maxed out our farms.
I also love this game and spend hours a day on it. I think it would be neat if some new items were added like, Cotton plants, sheep for wool and mutton, and also what mommy 2273 suggested.
Buy chickens only cost 30 buxxs each. Eggs add up quick,you can sell lots of swiss eggs.
I have been playing on Big Fish for awhile, but stayed away from this game cause the directions were so long. Boy what a mistake. I started playing yesterday, and I love this game! I can’t wait to explore all the aspects the game has to offer.
this is a great game. here are some more tips. if you happen to recieve a strange crop from the strange people, dont hesitate to start growing it. These crops are worth 5 times more than an average crop. One single item can be sold for almost around 500 dollars a piece. Imediatley will you start to get an income.
Note: whenever you buy a crop circle, right away the strange visitors come, however they come back a minute later and take whatever is in your silos.
They can reward you with new crops, new animals, money and other objects. i have been playing this game for several months now and i reciently just started buying crop fields.

when you go to the strange visitor planet you can only go to the school why cannt you grow somthing thar to? Somthing you can only grow no the strange visitor planer. I realy like this game thow
THis game is super. I think that the barn shouldn’t be there, though. It wastes space and costs too much.
